Classroom Discipline
Maintaining proper discipline and conducting yourself in a responsible manner in the class are of utmost importance for not only this course but also for your own personal development. At the same time, students are encouraged to raise questions to the instructor, both during the class and outside the class, and to participate actively in the class
discussions. Be respectful – it is important to be polite, courteous and considerate of colleagues and everyone with whom you come into contact .Make sure you are prepared whenever possible – if you are going to a meeting with colleagues, check the topic and work out what questions might be directed your way, or if there are materials that you might be asked to distribute. Reliability is important – you are more likely to be given important projects which will help to advance you career, if you have proven that you can be depended upon to complete them successfully .
Pay attention to your personal presentation, and dress appropriately for your workplace. If you are not sure about the dress code, ask! Be punctual, whether arriving at work or turning up to a meeting. Have a positive attitude to everything you do – if you are pleasant to be around then people will enjoy working with you, and want to collaborate with you on future projects . Be honest. If you do not think you will meet a deadline for a project, better to say early and help by thinking of possible courses of action with your manager .Do not be afraid to use your initiative. For example, employers will appreciate being given forewarning of any possible issues so that they can be addressed before they become problematic for the organization .If you have made a mistake, acknowledge it, apologize to those affected, and learn from it . Always recognize the contribution made by others – you should never take credit for work that you have not done. Respect the privacy of anyone who shares information with you in confidence - discretion is expected and always appreciated by employers
Imagery Poem
Nature Itself
Looking Outside
Through the Window
Blue Skies
Wind blowing in all directions
Green leaves falling
Squirrel scattering and running
Its so quiet
You can hear the wind blow
Its so peaceful
Nature Itself

PCT Americas Wilderness Trail
In The 1920s and early 1930s visionary thinkers started talking and writing about the value of long-distance trails through wilderness settings. In 1935, eight leaders came together to form the Wilderness Society. Led by Forest Service employee Robert Marshall, Benton MacKaye , and also Harold Anderson. The first meeting of the Pacific Crest Trail Conference took place the same year. In 1937 to 1939 Bob Marshall and Clarke exchanged letters about a range of issues regarding the preservation of wild lands and the development of the PCT. Bob Marshall and Clarke were planning to a meeting in September of 1939. After the death of Bob Marshall we see two things take place that shake the assumptions for the development of the PCT and wilderness preservations. Within months of Marshall's death the regional forester in California abandoned participation in the PCT project. Without Marshall’s leadership within the agency, we see two things take place that shake assumptions for the development of the PCT and wilderness preservation. Within months of Marshall’s death, the regional forester in California abandoned participation in the PCT project. Through the next several years, despite many obstacles, Clarke and the PCT Conference continued to advocate for the PCT. Integral to that advocacy was a push for setting aside additional wilderness and expanding the areas that had been administratively designated by the Forest Service or legislated by Congress within national parks.
- What I learned from this article is the background history of how the PCT was created. I learned of how many people took the time to create the PCT. I also learned why it was so important to create the PCT.
I have two questions about this article:
-Why was this place was so special to start a PCT in this particular place?
-Why when Bob Marshall suddenly died that the other people did not help to continue the PCT trail?

For the first two weeks of school I have realized that AP Classes are not easy at all. I have learned that the ACT is one of the most important test in the world right about now. Knowing all this I know that I will need to do excellent work in my AP Classes. Pre Calculus is not a joke either. Like so far it is easy but it is so boring. The only blocks I really like and look forward to going to is 1st and 2nd Block. 3rd block is so boring, I am learning things but it is still boring. 4th block is like after lunch so I be ready for that good nap. For the first two weeks of school I learned that I can not play with these classes. I also need to do my homework, pay more attention, etc.
